World of Photography : Sinulog 2013

Sinulog is a century old tradition for catholics in Cebu in honor of the baby Jesus version in the Philippines - the miraculous Sto. Niño. Every third Sunday of January the cebuanos prepare a great presentation and feast to please the baby Sto. Niño and all devotees from all over the country and tourists from all over the world will flock to the small city of Cebu to celebrate the annual events. To promote tourism the celebration has evolved through the years and now people coined it as a 'Mardi Gras' synonymous to the carnival street dancing in Rio (Brazil). Thus it has slowly eroded the religious relevance of it through the following years because fun & party replaces sacrificial & worship original purpose of Sinulog. Its reach is slowly expanding through the years with participants in Visayas and Mindanao slowly increases. Thus making it now officially a nationwide event.
I have attended quite a lot of Sinulog festival but this will be the first time that I get gritty out there on the field for the purpose of photography and  featuring it on my blog. It was a fun and memorable experience to approach Sinulog on a photographer perspective. I couldn't be more proud of my shots. Please take the time to critique them if you want and leave a constructive criticism below.
